Tony Gallino

Tony is the drummer for The Planotones. Tony was born into a musical family. Through his father’s record collection, he grew up listening to many of the great singers and jazz musicians of the 40’s and 50’s.

He started playing professionally with his father at the age of 16. After a brief stint at the Berklee College of Music, Tony began his professional career playing many jazz, rock and recording dates in New York City, and graced many a stage from Carnegie Hall to Radio City Music Hall.

He has performed with Pookie Hudson and the Spaniels, The Harptones, The Jive Five, The Velours, The Jarmels, the Teenagers, The Orioles, The Eternals, just to name a few. Tony has occupied the drum chair with The Planotones for the last 10 years. He has written and recorded music for TM Century, Bruton Music, and many others – through his own music company, Sono Buoni Music – which includes Krozo the Armenian Clown.
