Dear Kenny, I just saw that you are going to perform in April. I’m thrilled for you. I prayed for you to return to the stage. Your music has carried me through the years some not so terrific.
I want to thank you for all the times you were so gracious at all the shows going out of your way to hug, kiss, sign the cds I bought.
Your a beautiful soul Kenny Vance! God Bless You in your new adventure. You will always have a place in my heart.
Hi, to Kenny and the Planotones, I also was born in Brooklyn(Brownsville) N.Y. Graduated in 1964 from FK.Lane H.S.on Jamaica Ave.Queens. My husband and I saw you and the group back in 2011 front row seats of course. Best of the best shows ever seen. Your voice is incredible and the guys are fabulous too. You and the group accent each other so well. The music you sing will never die as long as their are guys like you around to keep it alive and oldies like me to enjoy it. Actually my daughter loves the oldie music too. Well here’s to your improved health and hopefully back to the stage for me and all to love and enjoy again. Jo Sigler

Listen to the CD’s and watch the interviews all the time. We miss you. I think if you stood in front of a audience while your played and talked to people like you have done with those talk and sing shows, people would come to see you. It wasn’t just about the music, it was about the man and group. You are that blessed with a fantastic following. Rita and Bill
We are thrilled you’re back in the studio and can’t wait for your new release. I haven’t seen you since you were last in Ft Lauderdale. Wishing you the best & happy to promote you new projects. Just a quick note. I graduated from Nichols College in 1964. In turns out that Ken was a freshman at Nichols in 1960 before he left to pursue a career in the music industry. Small world. Ken-Good luck in the future and a speedy recovery from whatever ails you.
Missing you on tour and hearing that fabulous voice in person. Wishing you improving health and strength. Hoping to hear that you’ll be back soon and stronger than ever!,
Still missing you on tour and listening to that fabulous voice. Wishing you the best for improved health and strength. Hope to hear that you’ll all be back soon and stronger than ever!!
Kenny, We have wonderful memories of you and the Planotones performing at our wedding reception in Jersey City in August of 2010. TJ, who sang with acapella groups long ago, is always amazed that you started as a background singer and ended up an incredible lead singer. Hope that your condition is improving and that you keep a song in your heart.
I was born in 1947 and stumbled on “Need You” a couple of weeks ago….how did I miss this????
Thoroughly enjoying all of these songs now and just want to say how much Kenny and the group are appreciated.
I grew up with Leroy King and the Students … “I’m So Young” and “Every Day of the Week.” Also schooled with Gene Hughes and the Casinos … “Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye.” And Carl Dopkins Jr. … “My Hearts An Open Book.” They hooked me on R&R. My local favorite is now the “Belairs Show Band. So “Kenny Vance and the Planotones” are a natural choice for me.
I hope you’re doing well and are able to return to your craft again soon.
Lenny ; Cincinnati,Ohio
I am a big fan having seen the Planotones several times in NJ and FL , I would like to know what is wrong with Kenny, and how is he doing ? Cant wait to see you all again

I cannot get enough of Kenny Vance. His music brings me back to a wonderful time of my life. Growing up in a small New England town, Bristol, in the state of Rhode Island, music, Rock and Roll was all that we loved. I listen to all of the oldies and can remember where I was attractive the time and feeling great.
Thank you, Kenny Vance, for all of the greatest music of all time.
ROCK AND ROLL WILL NEVER DIE.
Kenny we miss you so very much and keep you in our prayers always. Please come back to us. All the best to you and your group.
We really miss seeing you and the enjoyment you bring with your voice and music..
Looking forward to your return to entertainment for all to enjoy!!
Best wishes to you and yours.
Hope you’re getting well enough to start to tour soon and can get back to North East PA. Every one misses you folks because the music you all perform keeps itself alive. The versatility of how you do it is the key.
Miss seeing you at the Patchogue Theatre in June. I haven’t gone to the show since you haven’t been performing. Love your music and play it all the time. Met you the last night you were performing there. Was very impressed with what a nice man you are and how you took the time to talk to everyone. You have given so much to entertain all of us and I am sorry that your health suffered for it. Please take care of yourself and be well. Still looking for an echo. Thanks.
Hope you are continuing to do well. We were very fortunate to see you during several shows at the Warner Theater in Torrington and at the Mohegan Sun, with Bowser.
Best wishes to you and the whole group,
Walt & Agnes
Kenny & The Planatones: I hope that someday you guys will return. The music is slowly fading away as us “old-timers” pass away. Who will keep the music alive after we are all gone?

It’s 8/18/15 It was by accident AND LUCK that I found this website. I was looking for any information on Kenny Vance. Ever since he stopped performing it seems like a mystery of what happened and why he has not been singing in 2 years now? Kenny, we wish you and your family HAPPY AND
HEALTHY HOLIDAYS. And we pray for a speedy
We have been fans for a long time and can’t wait for you to return to the stage.
God Bless You.
Wonderful memories tinged with sadness.
When I tell people that I sang with a do wop group the reaction is usually a smirking smile.
O.K. so I date myself. I feel kind’ a sad for them. They will never feel the intense total immersion in the sound. And they cant know how it feels when it is part of you that becomes the source.
Unfortunately the drug age opened a door that stripped away honest human emotions. Big amplified sound loud monotone vocals and computer generated bass. All honesty resides in you ! Live long and prosper. RN
Will Kenny Vance and the Planotones be appearing in Florida during 2015…..
thank’s Your Videos are amazing.

I met you years ago, back in the 1980s, when I did business with your manager, John Appostol…. As crazy as he was….we still appreciated one another….from when he lived on Snowball Lane (?) in Huntington with Maryann, Chris, their daughter and grandchild….I lived in Syosset, in those days. You are THE BEST showman in R&R, R&B,
and not only your voice, but your love and knowledge of the music shines everytime you are on and off stage. May you always do for others, and let others do for you….and may you stay Forever Young. Thanks again….
